Game Review: Risk of Rain

You are stranded on a desolate planet. If your lucky, you brought your friends to help you. You might die here if your not careful or lucky. Your not quite sure how you would exactly escape this place. There are monsters starting to get harder and harder.

Risk of Rain my Hopoo games is a survival rogue like game with co op elements. You choose survivors and are given the task of finding a way off the dangerous planet your stuck on. Along the way you can gain augments to your character to help defeat this perilous place. You have many ways on surviving depending on your character. Use acidic spit, snipers or knives all dependent on your survivor. These people with your friends all can set a scene for a intense fight.

This game is great for a long hang out session with some friends. Dedicate a block of time to sit down and try to get farther than you have ever tried. You may fail but each time your closer and closer to get to this glorious end.

Game Review: Move Or DIE

Do you like fast paced party games? Do you like to throw around chainsaws and 360 no scope your friends? Also do you like constantly moving because if you Dont you have the potential of your eminent loss?

Move or DIE is then the game for you! Created by those awesome guys, this game is a fast paced competitive mini game game. The biggest catch is in the title, if you stop moving, you die. All while your flying around painting or shooting balls at your friends, you must be moving. The game’s library of mini games are astounding and very fun. All with their own twist in very fast successions , there are bound to be many heated matches in this game. As well there are augements to gameplay and character skins that adds even more customization to the game. Funny announcers as well give live and character to the games in play.

I would recommend this for a championship game. People who wound duke it out to see who is the very best at the game. As the games could last very shortz but this friend destroying game is bound to bring together the most hardcore intense players on the field.

Game Review: Fibbage

Do you think your friends are telling the truth? Or are they lying to your face. Are you telling the truth? Or trying to decieve your friends? If you lied to someone about something at one point, were you caught in the act?

A less harmful game to lie to your friends faces by Jackbox games Is the game fibbage. This game is all about decieveibg your friends by clever lies. The game finds a random topic and has everyone create lies for the topic’s answer. Just like many of the jakcbox games, you use your smartphone, tablet or computer as a remote. Then everyone is trying to find the truth to the wacky truth and lies on the computer screen and tries to find the truth.

You gain points by people choosing your lie you cleverly put on the board. As well in every round people choose their favorite lie and thumbs up are given. At the end, there are two winners. Whoever got the most points by choosing the correct answer of fooling your friends, and the person with the most likes.
This is a great game to play with some close friends that feel like they know it all. These questions are extremely obscure and very in ordinary. If you are able to find a untrue credible answer, that makes you all the better. This is a fun game as well to test your skills in finding who is that dirty little liar or the sneaky fox of tour group.

Game Review: Crawl

A classic dungeon crawl, home to loot, monsters, mysteries and more. A valiant hero is tasked to thwart the dungeon and defeat the evils within. Little did you know the hero’s villains are the other players.

Crawl by powerhoof games is a dungeon crawler roguelike game with a 1v3 twist. One player becomes a hero while the 3 other player become ghosts and fight against the hero. The ghost can possess special monsters that fight against the hero. If you defeat the hero, you become the hero and the cycle continues. The way to win is to defeat the final boss that is controlled by the 3 other players.

The hero and monsters both have ways to become much stronger. The Hero can acrew gold by damaging the hero while monster. The hero then could use the gold to buy magic, powerups weapons and many more powers to aid his quest. As well the monsters can evolve their asset of monsters they can choose from to become even stronger. These matchups can be either or, which brings life to this intense game.

I suggest this game to your friends in need of a intense game. If you can get a bunch of passionate gamer then this game could get insanely good. The amount of strategy possible can be great. The builds of both the monsters and hero’s can be different each time which adds to either side greatness

Game Review: Earwax

Do you remember making noises in class? Is there one noise that always cracks you up whenever someone does something to you? Have you had a noise making contest with friends? If one or all applies to you Earwax is the game for you!

Another jem of a game created by Jackbox games is all about listening. Just like other jackbox games, you use a mobile device, computer or tablet as your controller. You are given a prompt to answer and multiple different choices to choose.

Instead of word responses, Earwax has you respond in 3 audio clips. These clips are then played against everyone else’s clips and voted on by a judge to see whose has the funniest quote. These voice clips may be a clown nose or even a classic fart. The particular noises you are given and your imagination is the limit to your responses.

When we played this game, many found this concept as a fun change to the normal grind of games. Instead of fast paced skill, you just use your ears to listen to whatever you have. These are some of the best ways to have people really hear what your friend and you are doing. Hearing loud fart noises of a crashing plane is for sure to come out with some raised eyebrows or possible interest

Game Review: Quip Lash

In one of my previous blog posts, I talked about Cards Against Humanity. This traditional dirty college humor game brings great fun to our group of friends. Imagine if you will a game where there was no restraint on your answer you can choose. Your own imagination, ingenuity or personal taste of humor is the limit to your limit. A game where you can truely find whose the lame duck or the funny man of your group.

Quiplash does exactly this. Created by Jackbox games Quiplash mixes short little “quips” by other people and test out your very mettle of answering questions. The premise is very easy to pick up. Your given a code which you plug into their website jackbox.tv on your phone, tablet or computer. Your given a couple prompts you need to answer on your device in a certain amount of time. Afterwards the battle of whoever made the funnier response to “worst birthday gift” or other prompts wins. There are limitless possibility in this game alone which you can do.

This is just like cards against humanity for me, it mixes creative thinking and whicher humor you wish. Does your group have a rsituations or a joke you all say, use it. The amount of humor is limitless in these types of situations.

When I was playing the game, I found great fun in starting to make gags in the cards. We learn after time how people respond and in turn we surprised ourselves in some of the funny ways we responded to the given prompts. Overall in review this is a perfect game to get to know your friends.

Card Game Review: Joking Hazard

From the creators of the web comic series “cyanide and happiness” comes the very game based on their comics. Cyanide and Happiness has one of the most naturally funny game with its simple 3 card format. This comic series took the many years of comics they had and pit them on cards for a cards against humanity ESC game. The objective of the game is to create the comic strip. Your job as the player is to make the punchline for the comic. This whole concept fosters some great and funny moments among people. Some illustrations on cards are many times a for sure win.

This game in play was a great success wth my friends and I. We were able to find funny, sad or disgusting cards. That as the best part. We never knew what we were going to get or see with our cards in hand. We always had one or two cards that were a for sure win with its very ridiculous nature. This beauty brought many funny moments and comic series that I would never see in the deck.

I would recommend this game if you wanted to hang out with some friends and have a good time. This game is not too in depth or hard to learn, it fosters good and complete fun with other people.

Game Review: Tower fall Ascension

As a normal Archetype, the traditional 4 man arena never fails. 4 Random people or 4 close friends brings forth whose in Glorious 1st, Medicocre 2nd, OK third and then dead last. The trial of skill to find out who would be fist second or last is prone to be heated in a way.

This 4 player arena game Towerfall Ascension by Matt Makes games Inc. brings forth this spirit in an all out brawl with arrows, platforming, dodging and possible explosions.

This game is very easy to pick up. The core goal of the game is to kill the aposibg archers by using your arrows. Learning how to use the controls at first may be easy, but the slope of skill is insane how much one could do with this game.

Aside from learning the game learning how special arrows works are another big factor. How to use explosive arrows or drill arrows to your advantage is a huge deal combating for the top spot.

With so much to offer, towerfall is surely a game where you can show off your skills. Learning the game is only the beginning with all the ways you can destroy your friends in combat to show your the best.
